Budget, equipment soon for Disease Surveillance Project
Panchkula, Feb 21 (UNI) The Centre has assured Haryana government that the budget would soon be released and necessary equipment would also be provided for effective implementation of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP).
The assurance was given by Union Health and Family Welfare Secretary Naresh Dyal to Haryana Commissioner and Secretary, Health Navraj Sandhu during a tele-conference service which commenced today. In Delhi, a Call Centre has been made functional under the IDSP to work round-the-clock through National Informatics Centre(NIC) as a supplementary tool to detect outbreak of epidemic-prone diseases.
Mrs Navraj Sandhu apprised the Union Health Secretary about the shortcomings in the existing health facilities and Mr Dayal assured her of all help in taking care of the same.
