'Zak Architech Construction Speciality Expo 2008' from Feb 28
Chennai, Feb 20 (UNI) More than 100 architects, mostly alumni of the School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University, would get together for the maiden edition of 'Zak Architech Construction Speciality Expo 2008' to be held here from February 28.
To be held at the Trade Centre, the four-day expo would showcase technology, innovation, research and development, architectural products and services under one roof for the benefit of the professionals from the construction industry, not only from India, but also from around the world.
Talking to newspersons here, Zak Trade Fairs and Exhibitions Chairman and Managing Director Syed Zakir Ahmed said the expo would also provide a platform for schools and colleges of architecture from all over the country to showcase the work of the students.
"With nearly 125 exhibitors in the identified 10 sub-vertical segments of the construction industry, we look forward to a great interaction within the industry," Mr Ahmed said.
Technology, tiles and sanitary ware, walls and flooring interiors, construction hardware and tools, plywood and electricals and lightings were some of the sub vertials that would be represented in the expo, which was expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors, he said.
