Son sentenced to life for murdering father

Rourkela, Feb 20 (UNI) A son was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing his father.

Additional District Judge Rourkela V Jayshree today convicted one Peter Paul Kullu of Jalda area under Raghunath palli police station and senteched him to life under section 302 of the IPC for murdering his father.

The court also fined him Rs 2000 and directed him to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for one months in default.

A case was filed against Peter on a written complaint filed by his brother Nano.Nano in his report alleged that Peter hit his father Michael with a sharp weapon on April 29,2007.

Michael was rushed to hospital with serious injuries on his chest and back and died in the hospital.
