Seminar on National Building Code in MP town
Jabalpur, Feb 20: A two-day seminar on National Building Code to discuss planning and construction in urban development will get underway in this cantonment town on February 23.
The seminar is being organised by the Institute of Engineers Jabalpur Chapter (IEJC) with the cooperation of the Indian Standards Bureau.
IEJC President Santosh Tiwari told reporters here today that research papers on several topics like building, planning, construction, maintenance and repairs would be presented.
Representatives of railway, central public works department, state's public works department, BSNL, tourism, planning and other departments would take part. Builders, developers, building construction material producers and students along with professors from research institution, housing finance, engineering and architect academy would also be present.
He said the seminar aims at bringing agencies concerning building planning, designing and construction at one platform and to inspire them to work under the provisions of National Building Code.
Bureau of Standards Director A K Saini, Assistant Director S Arun Kumar, Fire Extinguishing Expert S K Dhehari, Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation Chief Engineer Jose Kurian would also take part in the seminar.
