Peaceful Pak polls will end instability in that country: CRPF
Srinagar, Feb 20 (UNI) Central Reserve Police Force IG (J&K) Sunil Kumar Jain today expressed the hope that uncertainty and instability in Pakistan will come to an end after the new government takes over following peaceful elections.
However, he refused to comment on whether the violence in Kashmir will reduce after the change in the government in the neighbouring country.
''It is not proper to make any comment as it is too early,'' Mr Jain said and expressed the hope that after the new government takes over in Pakistan, thr situation will stabilise.
He said during the past few months there was uncertainty and instability in that country.
Mr Jain said the elections were largely peaceful. There was not much violence as was the general perception, he added.
He said the situation, which has witnessed an improvement in the recent past in the Kashmir Valley, will improve further in the months to come.
''We all have to work progressively to move ahead,'' he added.
