One dead, another seriously injured in accident

Kolhapur, Feb 20 (UNI) One person was killed and another seriously injured when their moped collided with a truck near Rajputwadi on the Kolhapur-Ratnagiri highway today.

The deceased was identified as Ananda Yashwant Chaugule (59).

He along with Vilas Shankar Patil (45) was returning home on a Moped on Prayag-Chikalee, near here, and the truck was on its way to Ratnagiri from here, when accident occurred.

Both the victims were rushed to the Civil Hospital here. Ananda succumbed to his injuries in hospital and Vilas's condition was described as critical, hospital sources said.
