Devi Lal Univ sets up Community Radio Station

Chandigarh, Feb 20 (UNI) Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa would become the first university of the State with the setting up of the Community Radio Station at its campus.

A spokesman of the university, said that this CRS would be established in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of this university at Sirsa.

He said that the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had issued a Letter of Intent (LOI) to the department for this purpose.

The spokesman said that the equipment for the proposed station would cost about Rs 30 lakh and this station would be housed in the Media Centre of the department.
