Court sends serial blasts accused to mental health institute
New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) A city court today directed to send Ghulam Ahmad Khan, facing trial in connection with the serial blasts that rocked the Capital two years back, for treatment to the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences at Shahdara.
Additional Sessions Judge Babulal gave the directions.
Khan is an accused in the serial blasts had taken place at markests of Paharganj, Sarojini Nagar and near a DTC bus in Kalkaji area of the city.
Earlier, the court has asked AIIMS authorities to submit a report on Khan's mental condition that whether he is fit or not to take part in the court proceedings.
On suggestion of AIIMS he was sent to the Institute.
The court had already framed charges against other accused facing trial in the case. But charges against Khan could not be framed.
The court also rejected the bail application of Farooq Ahmad Batloo, who is accused of supplying money to the main culprit Tariq Ahmad Dar.
The court fixed March 4 as the next date of hearing for framing charges against Khan.
