Senior SP leader Sravan Kr Singh dies

Kanpur, Feb 19 (UNI) Senior Samajwadi Party (leader) Sravan Kumar Singh died at a hospital here today.

Singh (50) had suffered severe bullet wounds after being allegedly fired upon by two BSP activists Dipu Dubey and Gunjan during a marriage ceremony in Bithoor area on Saturday.

The wounded was admitted to hospital in a life threatening condition, where he succumbed, party sources said.

Following the shoot-out, tension gripped the Bihoor area. Police in strength had been deployed to prevent fresh violence.
