S T workers to go on indefinite stike from April 1
Kolhapur, Feb 19 (UNI) Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) workers will go on an indefinite strike from April 1 to focus government's attention towards their demands.
MSRTC workers union general secretary Hanumant Tate said the workers wage agreement period is ending on March 31 and demanded immediate implementation of their various pending demands.
About one lakh state transport workers will participate in the strike, he said adding that their demands include new wages to workers on the lines of sixth wage board and till its implementation 25 per cent interim relief to the state transport workers and others.
