Hand grenades found in apple consignment
Ahmedabad, Feb 19 (UNI) A city-based apple merchant today found hand grenades in his apple consignment, despatched from Srinagar.
According to police sources, S K Merchant&Co, a wholesale dealer of Kashmiri apples in the Naroda Fruit Market, this morning, found hand grenades in the consignment when it was opened.
Top city police officials, along with a dog squad, and Forensic Experts, rushed to the spot for a thorough investigation.
After the preliminary investigation, police believed that the consignment was wrongly dispatched to the apple merchant here.
Police had taken possession of the consignment.
