Strike on fuel hike: Factory workers arrested

Puducherry, Feb 19: As many as 20 workers of the Saiderapet industrial estate here owing allegiance to the CITU were arrested when they obstructed the Saiderapet-Mylam road to press their demands.

They were protesting against hike in the prices of petrol and diesel and demanded its immediate rollback.

Meanwhile, autorickshaw drivers association today held a demonstration in front of the head post office here, demanding the immediate withdrawal of the petroleum price hike.
