COD team visits hotels, questions many about SIMI
Hubli, Feb 19 (UNI) The Corps of Detective (COD) team, investigating the arrest of suspected terrorists, today visited several hotels and shopping malls in the city to ascertain information about financial support to the banned organisation SIMI.
The COD team also questioned many persons in connection with this.
Meanwhile in Bangalore, arrested Shakeel Ahmed and Mohammed Asif were subjected to brain mapping and polygraph tests for the second day.
The COD team was trying to bring Salauddin, the alleged kingpin in the 2005 Indian Institute of Science (IISc) attack case, to city from Lucknow.
Salauddin was recently arrested by the Uttar Pradesh (UP) police after he reportedly confessed that he was involved in the IISc attack. Salauddin is under UP police custody till February 22.
