Weapons recovered from Ferozabad jail

Ferozabad, Feb 18: Police recovered a large number of weapons from inside the district jail, arranged by a prisoner with an intention to kill an inmate here.

''Some visitors had met Narendra Kumar Srivastava alias Bhola and provided him the weapons,'' police said.

The seizure was made from a 'ghee' container yesterday, police added.

A 9 mm pistol, two country made pistols and 12 cartridges were recovered, from him.

On interrogation, Narendra confessed to the crime, saying he had arranged the weapons to kill one of his jail inmate.

Meanwhile, a case had been registered and security hightened in the jail.
