'Wah Taj Wah!,' says UP Governor

Agra, Feb 18 (UNI) Taj Mahal -- the epitomc of eternal love and passion -- today mesmerised Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar with its exquisite craftsmanship.

''Taj is the most perfect jewel of Muslim art in India,'' Mr Rajeswar noted after inaugurating the 17th Taj Mahotsava.

''I do not have adequate words to describe the beauty of this immense mausoleum built on the orders of Shah Jahan, the fifth Muslim Mogul emperor, in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal,'' he said.

The governor said ''I have fallen in love with the Taj and laid-out walled gardens which surround the white marble monument.

Mr Rajeswar also recited a famous poetry written by Rabindra Nath Tagore prasing the 17the century monument.
