Use scientific ways for mining: Koda

Ranchi, Feb 18 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today stressed on using scientific ways of mining for proper utilisation of iron ore in the state.

Speaking at the two-day national seminar on 'Beneficiation and Pelletisation of Iron Ore of Jharkhand', Mr Koda said maximum utilisation of iron ore was possible only through scientific mining as major part of the mineral remains unused.

''The state contains 37 per cent of the total iron ore reserves available in the country, but only high grade iron ore is being used by the industries,'' he said.

Technology should be developed to use low grade iron ore as it creates pollution, he added.
