Temperatures rise in HP
Shimla, Feb 18 (UNI) Minimum and maximum temperatures continue to rise in Himachal Pradesh, which is experiencing bright sunny days for the last several days now.
The minimum at Shimla town stood at 4.3 degrees about three degrees above normal, while the maximum was at 12.7 degrees, two degree Celsius above normal.
The met office said Sundernagar, Bhuntar and Dharamshala recorded day temperatures of 22.2, 21.6 and 17.8 degree Celsius respectively.
Sundernagar recorded a night temperature of 4.8, Bhuntar 3.6 and 7.1 degrees at Dharamshala, it said.
The minimum at Kalpa, however, stood at minus five degrees, while Keylong, the district headquarter of the tribal district of Lahaul Spiti, was cold at minus 9.1 degree Celsius.
The day temperature at Kalpa stood at 8.2 degree Celsius, the met office said.
The day began on a bright note in the hill town's state capital before thick clouds covered the sky in patches and thinned out in the evenings.
The met office has forecast snow and rain at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
