Russia to ease travel for Indian tourists
New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) Russia will make it easier for Indian tourists to travel to that country.
The time-frame for issuing visas will be cut to three or four days after presentation of documents at the Russian consulates in New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
Indian tourists will not need to be interviewed for the visa, a senior official of the Russian embassy here said today.
''Russia's Federal Tourism Agency will make it easier for Indian tourists to travel to Russia,'' the officials said.
The officials said the agency, along with the Russian Foereign Ministry, was conducting an experiment for easing visa regulations for Indian tourists.
''Together with the Russian Foreign Ministry, the agency is now conducting an experiment...the visa process will be made easier...'' they said.
Currently, Indian citizens have to submit all the original documents to the Russian consulates.
