Pasricha, Jadhav should have resigned: BJP
Mumbai, Feb 18 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari today said after the Bombay High court order, setting aside the extensions given to Director General Police Dr P S Pasricha and city police commissioner D N Jadhav, both ought to have tendered their resignations.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Bhandari said ''The two officers should have atleast shown respect to the High court verdict and resigned immediately.'' Mr Bhandari issued the copies of the letter addressed to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil by Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, in which he had said that since Dr Pasricha is a member of minority community and has a secular image, he will be effective to bridge the gap between minority community and the government, and the trust and belief reposed in him by the Muslim minority stands the government in a good position.
