one per cent rebate in interest for punctual SC loanees
Chandigarh, Feb 18 (UNI) Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation has decided to give a rebate of one per cent in the rate of interest at the time of last instalment to punctual loanees of the loan scheme to Scheduled Castes for the purchase of light commercial vehicles for self employment.
While stating this today, Haryana Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Minister, Mrs Kartar Devi said that the Corporation has invited applications from eligible beneficiaries to give them loans for the purchase of light commercial vehicles. These vehicles included Swaraj Mazda, Tata-407, Max Pick Up, (Mohindra), Eicher Mitsubishi and other similar vehicles like Jeep (diesel-10 seater), car taxi (diesel five seater) and auto rickshaw.
She said that this scheme would be implemented under the aegis of National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation. The loan would be given at an interest rate of six per cent and would be recoverable in monthly instalments for five years. Those loanees, who would return their loan in time, would get a rebate of one per cent in the rate of interest in last instalment.
Mrs Kartar Devi said that in case of diesel jeep of 10 seats, the total loan amount would be Rs five lakh and loanee's contribution would be Rs. 15,000. In case of diesel car-taxi of five seats, the loan amount would be Rs.4.10 lakh and loanee's contribution would be Rs.12,000. For light commercial vehicles, Rs. 4.90 lakh would be given as loan and the beneficiary's contribution would be Rs.15,000.
In case of auto rickshaw, a loan of Rs. 1.26 lakh would be given and the beneficiary would have to contribute only Rs.3800.
