Lanka's DPL makes foray into the India with Palmrite gloves
Chandigarh, Feb 18 (UNI) Dipped Products PLC (DPL), a Sri Lankan company, amongst the top four glove manufacturers in the world, has joined hands with Optimum Marketing Metrics (OMM) to sell its Palmrite range in India.
Addressing the media at the launch of Palmrite gloves here, Marketing Manager, DPL Indika Prasad Kulathunga said, ''DPL, engaged in the manufacturing of gloves since 1976, has joined hands with OMM to bring the Palmrite range of gloves to Indian homes''. ''With production facilities in Sri Lanka and Thailand, we cater to five per cent of the global demand for general purpose and industrial gloves. DPL is present in 65 countries across the globe, Mr Kulathunga said adding that it was an ISO 9001:2000 certified company and carried the prestigious British Retailer Consortium (BRC) certification. All of our products are CE certified, he added.
Speaking on the occassion, Director, OMM, Rajesh Malhotra said, ''we are glad to be associated with a world renowned brand like Palmrite and its exclusive distribution rights in India.
''Since glove usage in India is not on a large scale, we hope to provide an impetus to this global trend here. We have ensured that consumers are delivered quality at a competitive price,'' he said.
The range includes everyday, anyday, fluo, tufftask, ruff 'n' tuff and guard-ner.
