Engineer arrested while accepting bribe
Bangalore, Feb 18 (UNI) Lokayukta police have arrested a junior engineer of Haveri Town Municipal Council for allegedly accepting a bribe for showing an official favour.
According to a Lokayukta Press release, Malathesha Eswarappa Agadi, had demanded Rs 43,000 as bribe from two contractors who presented two bills of Rs 2,11,170 and Rs 1,26,357 respectively, towards the completion of TMC work.
On Saturday, a trap was laid and he was caught redhanded by Lokayukta police while accepting the bribe money of Rs 43,000.
