Army jawan dies mysteriously in Jammu
Jammu, Feb 18 (UNI) An army jawan was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence today in tehsil Bishnah, some 25 kilometres from here, a defence spokesman said.
Jawan identified as Havaldar Somnath, 42, of 12 JAK Li, was on leave while he was found dead at his residence in village Bandrali, tehsil Bishnah, defence spokesman Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI.
''The deceased was posted in Sunjuwan Brigade while his body was sent for postmortem and court of enquiry has been ordered,'' he said.
However, police said that according to the postmortem report, the jawan died of cardiac failure. He was survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
