Amar Singh's father passes away
Noida, Feb 18 (UNI) Harish Chandra Singh, father of Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, passed away today following a prolonged illness.
He was 82. Singh is survived by his wife, two sons including Amar Singh and a daughter.
According to family sources, he was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Noida a month ago.
Singh was cremated this afternoon at Antim Niwas in Sector 94 here.
The cremation was attended by Bollywood superstar and a close friend of Amar Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, his wife Jaya Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, former J&K Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, Sahara Chief Subroto Roy, other politicians and social workers.
