3 killed, 5 injured as fireworks explode
Kochi, Feb 18 (UNI) Three people were killed on the spot and five seriously injured when fireworks fell and exploded on a crowd at Maradu temple here tonight.
District Collector A P M Mohammed Hanish told UNI that the incident occurred during the fireworks organised as part of the annual temple festival.
He said the victims were watching the fireworks.
The injured had been admitted at various hospitals in the area, police said.
