Togadia demands withdrawal of 'objectionable' scenes from Jodh-Akbar
Vadodara, Feb 17 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Praveen Togadia today threatened to launch a nationwide agitation to stop the screening of Bollywood blockbuster 'Jodha-Akbar' if the 'objectionable' scenes in the movie were not removed forthwith.
''History has been deliberately distorted in the film. No one has the right to distort historical facts and insult the Hindu community,'' Mr Togadia told newspersons on the concluding day of the two-day national conclave of VHP's 6500-odd Sewa project heads at Sokhda Swaminarayan temple.
He said, considering the sentiments of the Rajput community, the objectionable scenes should be removed immediately from the Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai Starrer.
Mr Togadia also announced VHP's full support to the anti-Jodha-Akbar agitation, being spearheaded by the Rajput Kshetriya Samaj.
