Probe into cop's suicide in MP

Guna, MP, Feb 17 (UNI) An inquiry is underway into suicide by an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) following alleged pressure from senior officers.

ASI Mohabbat Singh Raghuvanshi's body was found hanging from a fan at this district's Jhagar Police Post yesterday. A suicide note mentioned that officers of the level of inspector-general and deputy IG pressurised him.

''Raghogarh's Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) A P Singh is the investigating officer,'' DIG (Gwalior Range) Adarsh Katiyar told mediapersons here today before leaving for the post.
