Pregnant woman set on fire for dowry
Thane, Feb 17 (UNI) A four-month-pregnant woman was set ablaze by her husband and in-laws at Bhiwandi town of the district.
Police said Afsana Begum Asgar Hussain Ansari, who was regularly harassed by her husband and other family members for dowry, was set on fire by them late last night, over her refusal to their demand.
She is battling for her life at the Thane civil Hospital with more than seventy per cent burns.
Police have arrested her brother-in-laws -- Mohamed Aslam and Yasin Ahmed, while her husband and other family members were absconding, police added.
