Noted social worker and literatiur Dr Arshad passes away
Patna, Feb 17(UNI)Noted social worker and chairman of 'Bihar Council for the Promotion of Urdu Language Dr R Asri Arshad died of cardiac arrest in Nalanda today.
The end came when he was attending a function at the Pali Institute there.
Dr Arshad was 75 and is survived by his wife a son and six daughters.
Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar condoled the death of Dr Arshad.
In a message Mr Kumar described his death as an 'irreparable loss' to the state and for Urdu literature. He was also a great social worker who devoted his life for the cause of the poor.
He also expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
