Man held while trying to enter Jaya's residence

Chennai, Feb 17: A 31-year-old man was arrested by the city police when he tried to gain entry into the high-security residence of AIADMK Supremo and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa here last night.

Police said the person, identified as Thiagarajan, hailing from suburban Pattabhiram, was said to be mentally-retarded.

He was interrogated by the police in the presence of his family members and later let-off.
