Haryana to open driving schools

Kaithal, Feb 17 (UNI) Haryana Government has decided to open three driving schools in association with Ashoka Leyland Company and Maruti Industries at Kaithal, Rohtak and Bahadurgarh to provide international standard driving training.

Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, G. Prasanna Kumar while addressing as a chief guest the 15th Founding Day of Transport Cooperative Societies here today.

Mr Kumar said that out of these three driving schools one in association with Ashoka Leyland Company and two in association with Maruti Industries would be set up at Kaithal , Rohtak and Bahadurgarh respestively.

He informed that a new action plan would be formulated to check the illegal vehicles in the state. He advised the Cooperative Societies to direct the trained drivers to maintain the good behavior with the passengers. He appreciated the role played by the Cooperative Societies to help in reducing the problem of unemployment in the state.

He said that the announcement of the Chief Minister which was made on the last Founding Day of Transport Cooperative Societies to increase the term of buses of Cooperative Societies from 7 to 10 years would also be implemented soon.
