Four from Jammu, including a cop, arrested with 1 kg heroin

Amritsar, Feb 17 (UNI) A police constable and three students from Jammu and Kashmir were arrested along with one kg of heroin by Special Narcotic Cell in Kathunngal near here today.

According to police, Rajouri police constable Sajid Mahmud and three students, Amit Kumar, Naval kumar, both from Poonch, and Pankaj Sharma of Roopnagar in Jammu, were coming from Jammu in a car to deliver the consignment in Amritsar when they were nabbed by the Narcotic Cell on a tip off.

The police has registered a case against them under sections 21, 29, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act, the police said.
