Amy Winehouse instructed to cover explicit tattoos for Grammys
Washington, Feb 17 : Troubled pop star Amy Winehouse had to forcibly cover up her tattoo of a bare bodied woman for her performance at the Grammy Awards ceremony.
The 24-year-old singer's body art did not seem to be appropriate for the prestigious awards night, according to the event's organisers.
The Back to Black hitmaker did her gig at the LA ceremony via satellite link-up from London, but awards officials thought her inking to be too saucy for the American prime-time audience and thus instructed the singer to cover up the explicit pictures.
Thus, the soul singer had to draw a make-shift bra onto the image on her right arm using black eyeliner.
However, Winehouse did manage to wash the temporary drawing straight off following her performance.
The singer scooped five awards at the event including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for her 2006 hit single Rehab.
