96 booked for importing weapons from Nagaland
Banda, Feb 17 (UNI) At least 96 persons were booked for allegedly getting licensed weapons from Nagaland in this district of Uttar Pradesh.
In 1996, licensed weapons were manufactured for India at Dimapur in Nagaland. However, the UP government had already banned these weapons on March 28, 1990.
Recently, 96 persons were caught by the investigating committee for getting weapons from Nagaland, police said today.
A case had been registered in court, besides arrest warrants being issued against them.
