Two pilgrims killed: bus ploughs through crowd
Tiruchirapalli, Feb 16 (UNI) Two pilgrims on a 'padayatra' were killed and another seriously injured when a State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) bus ploughed through a crowd of pilgrims at Malayadipatti village on the Tiruchirapalli-Dindigul National Highway near here today.
Police said, the deceased were identified as Andavar and his wife Chellammal of Ayyalur in Dindigul district. The injured Rajamohan was admitted to Manapparai Government Hospital.
The pilgrims from Ayyalur were on a 'padayatra' to the famous Samayapuram Shri Mariamman temple, police added.
