Three children drowned in TN

Chennai, Feb 16 (UNI) Three children, including two girls, drowned at a pond near Kallakuruchi in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu today.

According to reports received at the police headquarters here, the children were playing when two girls aged five and three went into the pond and struggled to come out.

The seven year old boy who tried to rescue them also drowned.

Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, police said.
