Naveen Patnaik airdashed to Nayagarh
Bhubaneswar, Feb 16 (UNI) Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik along with Home Secretary Tarun Kanti Mishra today airdashed to Nayagarha, where hundreds of armed naxalites killed 13 police personnel and a civilian last night.
At least 15 police personnel were also injured in the attack.
The naxalites, armed with sophisticated arms, attacked the police stations and looted the district armoury.
State Director General of Police Gopal Chandra Nanda, Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Pradeep Kapur were camping in the area and supervising the ongoing combing operation, launched after the massacre.
The Chief Minister will review the law and order situation and is scheduled to visit the hospital and meet the injured police personnel.
