MP island of peace, invest fearlessly:Chouhan
Bhopal, Feb 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today described Madhya Pradesh as ''island of peace'' where feelings of regional bias did not exist and called upon industrialists to invest fearlessly.
Mr Chouhan, while addressing the function after signing MoUs on the second and concluding day of the two-day Investors' Meet at Jabalpur, said dreams for progress and development of common man would be realised through industrialisation.
He said the MoUs signed during this Meet would be implemented in the prescribed time limit. The government was committed to industrial development of the state while ensuring benefit for local people, an official release said here today.
Mr Chouhan told the investors to reap profits but make sure that people get their share by creating job opportunities and helping in overall development.
Assuring them of all possible assistance, he said the government would regularly review the progress of the work to implement these MoUs at the earliest. Separate bodies would be made for reviewing the progress of these MoUs.
The Chief Minister said the government would keep organising these kinds of meets for investors in future. He appreciated the zeal of the investors but warned that MoUs would be cancelled if investors were found to be not serious.
Pointing out that possibilities existed to set up units based on food processing, industries and tourist hub in the areas around Jabalpur, Mr Chouhan inspired people to invest in Mahakaushal region.
He urged investors from Canada, the UK, Hong Kong and Thailand to invest in tourism industry in Mahakaushal region.
