Dharwad (Karnataka), Feb 16: Even as the search for alleged SIMI activists in the city and the surrounding areas is on, the Corps of Detectives (CoD) investigating the terror activities in the State following recent arrests, has decided to take LeT suspect and SIMI Operative Asif Mohammad to Bangalore for narco-analysis test either today or tomorrow morning.

According to sources, the terror suspects under CoD custody had revealed that the SIMI activists had purchased over 200 acre of land around the twin-cities of Hubli and Dharwad. Apart from Asif, a final year medical student, police have also arrested House Surgeon Allabaksh and an electrician Shakeel Mali in Hubli.

The trio was held on the basis of information given by alleged LeT operatives Riyazuddin Naser alias Mohammad Ghouse of Hyderabad and Asadullah Abubakar of Hospet, who were arrested by Davanagere Police in January.

After two weeks of intense questioning in police custody, Naser and Asadullah were sent to judicial remand. They were now lodged in Bellary Central Jail. The team, along with Shakeel, visited some areas in the city and Kalghatagi Forests where the SIMI activists, including the three arrested, reportedly held training camps, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the police had reportedly nabbed another suspect in the city in connection with this case but official sources refused to confirm.
