ICSI launches e-learning
Chennai, Feb 16 (UNI) Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) today launched its new e-learning in technical collaboration with Gurukul Online Learning Solutions.
Through this initiative of ICSI, there would be provisions of round-the-clock study without any barriers of time and location, ICSI President Keyoor Bakshi told newspersons here.
As a first step in this direction, e-learning would be imparted to the student of the corporate study foundation programme, he said adding in the second phase, the training would be imparted to the students of executive and professional programme.
Mr Bakshi pointed out that e-learning was a cost effective training format, where the students could undergo coaching from the comforts of their homes.
''All they need is an internet connection as per the specification given in 'http://elearning.icsi.edu,' he said adding that under the system the students would be imparted coaching through web-based training like e-books, discussion board, quizes and email support and online chat.
He said a nominal annual fees of Rs 250 would be charged from the foundation programme students for availing the services at the e-learning portal.
