Hindu Munnani, BJP protest MP Haroon's entry into temple
Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Feb 16 (UNI) The activists of Hindu Munnani and BJP today protested the alleged entry of Parliamentarian J M Haroon into historic Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple here.
Temple officials said Mr Haroon, representing Periyakulam Lok Sabha constituency, allegedly entered the temple along with Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Jayprakash Jaiswal, who was on a pilgrimage to the temple.
Hindu Munnani and BJP activists condemned the entry of a non-Hindu into the temple and lodged a complaint with Rameswaram Temple Police Station against Mr Haroon.
The Hindu outfits had convened a meeting tomorrow to chalk out an agitation to protest the entry of Mr Haroon.
