Governor Krishna honours policemen

Mumbai, Feb 16 (UNI) Governor S M Krishna presented the President's police medals for distinguished service and police medals for meritorious service to 65 police officers and police personnel at an Investiture Ceremony held here today.

The President's police medals for distinguished service were given to Additional Director General(Anti Corruption Bureau) Ajit Vasant Parasnis, Special IGP/Jt CP ATS K P Raghuvanshi, Spl IGP CID (Crime) of Pune Meera C Borvankar, Jt Commissioner (Law&Order) K L Prasad, Asst Commdt SRPF ( Gr II, Pune) Madhav Namdevrao Kalanke and Asst Supt of Police (Nashik) Kiran Ambadas Dhote.

The police medals for meritorious service were given to 59 police officers and police personnel. Spl IGP S S Barve, Asst Commissioner Sanjay Sadanand Jadhav, Crime Branch Police Inspector Dilip Arjunrao Shinde and Police Inspector late Babu Raju Pillai (posthumous) were among those presented with police medals for meritorious service.

Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, Home Secretary Chitkala Zutshi, Director General of Police Dr P S Pasricha, Commissioner of Police Dhananjay Jadhav and other high ranking serving and retired police officers and families of police personnel were present on the occasion.
