Driver commits suicide

Bijapur, Feb 16 (UNI) A NWKSRTC driver committed suicide allegedly due to mental harassment by superior officials, here today.

Police said the driver Bhagawan M Gayakwad (50) was strangulated himself at the depot following the alleged mental torture.

The depot workers did not allow his body to be removed from there for four hours till the police assured them that the two concerned transport officers Auradakar and Depot Manager Mahantesh Kapali were arrested.

Gandhi Chowk Police station booked a case against them.
