8 killed as auto hits lorry in AP

Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 16 (UNI) Eight people, including two women and a child, were killed and five injured when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry near Madugula Village of Tipparty Mandal in this district today.

Police said the autorickshaw, proceeding to Miryalaguda, collided with a speeding lorry on way to Nalgonda from Miryalaguda.

While six people were killed on the spot, two succumbed to their injuries while being shifted to the hospital.

The injured were admitted to Osmania Government Hospital in Hyderabad. The lorry driver was absconding.
