Remains of 2500 year old city excavated in Orissa
Bhubaneswar, 15 Feb, 2008 : Archaeologists have dug out the remains of a 2,500-year-old fortified city at Bhubaneswar in India's eastern Orissa, which they believe was bigger than the classical Greek city of Athens.
According to researchers, the number of artifacts and structures that have been dug out throw light on the existence of a flourishing urban life during the pre-historic period, which is a testimony to the rich civilization of Orissa.
