Snubbed girl commits suicide in Madhya Pradesh

Narsinghpur (MP), Feb 15: A teenaged girl who was prevented from going out with her friends to celebrate Valentine's Day committed suicide by hanging herself at her house at Kareli town in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur district, police said.

Police said XII standard student Rashmi, hanged herself from the ceiling fan after being snubbed by her mother Rajrani.

Her father Rajesh Kumar Singh, a teacher, was not present when the incident occurred.
