School for Blind to have Computer Laboratory
Mysore, Feb 15 (UNI) The Century old School for Blind here will get the Karnataka's first Computer Laboratory on March Five.
The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has contributed Rs 20 lakhs for this package. A special software developed would be installed in all computers for use by primary and high school students, Director of Welfare of Disabled and Senior Citizens M V Vedamurthy told newsmen here today.
NTPC Deputy General Manager D C Gupta said that the company was sponsoring the related peripherals for the laboratory here under information communication and technology plan. Besides, the Company would also bear the maintenance of both lab and Teacher's salary and transport facilities.
