North Zone Civil Services Golf to start on Feb 16

Chandigarh, Feb 15 (UNI) The third North Zone Civil Services Golf Championship will tee off on February 16 at Chandigarh Golf Club.

In the two-day Championship, which will be played over 36 hole, 75 Civil servants, including 13 retiree will participate.

Mr CSR Reddy IPS IG, Patiala Zone, who is the president of North Zone said that based on two days gross scoring, 12 players including three reserve will be selected to participate in the All India Civil Services Golf Tournament scheduled to be held in Delhi in March.

With a view to promote golf amongst Civil Servants, the All India Civil Services has divided the country into six zones--Northern, Central, Eastern, Western, Southern and North East Zone.

North Zone comprises J and K, Himachal Pardesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Chandigarh.
