Mah Govt signs MoUs with 7 cos for Rs 5,444 cr investment
Mumbai, Feb 15 (UNI) In a bid to give boost to investments in Maharashtra and generate employment opportunities for the people, the state government today signed Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with seven companies at Rs 5,444 crore for various industries.
The MoUs were signed by Principal Secretary (Indstries) V K Jairath with the company representatives in presence of state Industries Minister Ashok Chavan and Textiles Minister Satish Chaturvedi.
Among the seven projects, the major ones include Hethras Technology for production of sugar and captive power at Kolhapur, Robin Mining Industry for aluminium at Ratnagiri, Murli Industries for production of solid bleed sulphate at Nagpur.
While the other projects are of spinning and auto at Dhule and saw mill project at Nashik district. These projects are likely to provide employment to 5,647 people.
