Five killed in Jeep-Bus collision

Madikeri, Karnataka, Feb 15 (UNI) Five persons, including a police constable, were killed on the spot and seven others were injured when a jeep collided head on with a bus at Aigoor near Somwarpet, about 40 km from here today.

Police said the Killed included constable identified as Ashok and four others were unidentified labourers.

Eye witnesses said that the constable was driving the private jeep. He had forced the laborers waiting for the bus to get into the jeep and loaded twelve of them.

While three were seriously injured an taken to Mysore and Mangalore, four others were admitted to Somwarpet hospital.
